The welfare in UK and China has a large difference. The pensions for employed women at 60 and men at 65 in UK, in China, the pension for employed at 55 and men at 60. The pension is same in the two countries from the external meaning, but has a different meaning from the deep meaning. Because the pensions in UK supported by the government are free, but the pensions in China is not free, the company give the salary to the workers, a part of salary is used as the pensions to the government, then after they retired, the can get the part of salary each month, it's belong to them originally.(the same to the medical treatment) The UK medical treatment is free to the public(such the NHS, it can give you the information on medical conditions and lifestyle advice.), each one (include the poor people, refugee) is treated in the hospital. However, the pay of treatment is not only free, but also is expensive to the average families.
In UK, a tax-free Child Benefit (£ 15 per week for the eldest child and £ 10 for other children) is paid to all mothers for each of her children up to the age of 18, irrespective of family income. In China, not benefits to each child. Moreover, some children cannot go to school to learn the knowledge due to they can't pay the tuition fee.
The apprenticeships are common in current society. In China, the apprenticeship is generally to be paid the salary, lower than ordinary worker. It is a strategy to prevent the bad businessman and protect the apprenticeship. Because there are large populations and labor force in China.
You have mentioned many differences between the UK and China. However, the child benefit amount is incorrect!
